monday i went out for a lunch with my ex-boss. staff lunch at garuda (indo buffet) wasnt bad if not for me feeling kinda nervous the whole time. i learnt my lesson about staff lunches (free food) and ordered lots of stuff for myself...though i felt a little embarrassed but whatever...when opportunity knocks on your door you have to grab it and hold it close to you.

guess what!!! my manager wanted me back!! with a negotiable pay! i was really flattered coz i always thought she disliked me and i'm just cheap labour. the "training" i have at home- trying to be tactful and keeping emotions intact when turmoil is stirring in hearts- must have equipped me with the ability to tolerate my manager's worst of moods.

i'm just very happy that my boss likes me enough. i know that this other girl didn't manage to get her contract renewed and is feeling quite bummed out. she really did thought the manager would wish to keep her coz she asked me for lunch at chinatown. :( feel really bad...i so know how it feels when you feel 100% sure about something and the reality turns out otherwise.

anyway after the lunch i met victor and it was great fun shopping with him. nice GUY shopping partner. just have to appreciate him occasionally, like "aww poor boys have to get stuck shopping with girls!" or "are you bored??" or "i'm sure this looks really good on you!" etc. HAHA. i'm learning how to get the hang of getting a man to shop HAPPILY with you...was kinda insensitive about it.

then on tuesday i met up with my pretty girl club! yay jamie's a great organizer! she can be promoted to the deputy president now! (i am the president and 4eva shall be!)

pretty girl club at ion

ok i know our club seems pretty bimbotic but aww, what other name would be better? bimbo girls club?! i didnt want us to sound like exotic sushi like かわいい女の子クラブ or exquisite like joli club de fille...i wanted a silly name that captures the essence of us when put together and (amy) hysterically laughing. so yes jason u can laugh at us forever. and nah we dont like your suggestion of skinny girls club or no-money-to-eat club etc.

i enjoyed the chicken wing meal at jurong point and love that we always have things to talk about when in a group, instead of thinking of things to fill spaces with. :) love this club!

wednesday!! went to mandarin hotel to have dinner with aunt and aunt's cousin uncle willie for expensive dinner at chatterbox. thats the place where nasi lemak and chicken rice go for $25 a plate. freeeeeakin exp! local hawker fare at exorbitant prices!!!!!!!!!!!

ok 3 whole days i manage to find myself at orchard. shucks i am going to be lonely on new year's eve! how sad!
