it was aunty adeline's birthday lunch! can't believe she's SEVENTY already coz she still looks so young.
yummy yam/potato bird nest thing that looked so delicately crafted!
sat next to the italian lady; her name is like zamel or something. she's really nice. i hope to find friends like aunty adeline did, friends who will eat asian food together despite the difference in the race.
i believe i have met every aunt and uncle from suds' mum's side of the family already. phew. meeting in-laws should rank higher than public speaking on the stress level chart.
meanwhile uncle les looked like steve jobs in that black turtle-neck.
we were so full from the 10?-course meal. eating non-stop for like 2 hours straight.....i really did felt like dozing off from trying to digest the meal. afterwards it was to curtin uni because we saw that it was their open house day.
the mr bean pose
im such a traitor.
i really liked that alpaca. it was like a baby! just sitting there and being happy to be fed.
there was just this one annoying white little girl who kept hogging the alpaca as if it were her own pet that spoiled the joy of spotting that alpaca.
i have to say, alpacas are like the next in thing in the cute animal world. people usually fawn over penguins, bunnies, pandas, kittens, puppies, but the alpacas are often overlooked! i only really got to know alpacas at like 20? and i wonder where did a huge part of my knowledge go to! why do stationery and story books often leave out such a cute and loving animal!
baa baa black sheep, have u any....*KICK!*
silly billy goat!!!! GOTCHA ASS!
the 3 ducks practically posed for me like trained models! lookie at their eyes! they looked so intelligent! i really marveled as i took this shot. such handsome ducks! all in different colours and so wonderfully spiffed up.
oh and suds managed to get a free can of red bull for doing a short moon walk thing. it was sugar-free and tasted like bitter lemons, according to him.
when we got home we watched casablanca. it wasn't that great in my opinion. perhaps in my selfish pithy heart i cannot relate to the nobility of love. the only thing that resonates with me is the pursuit of visas. that was relevant and so heart-achingly true. those people were trying to get visas to enter america during the time of war. for me, im trying to pave my way into a considerably better future.
i wonder if this graduate visa 485 thing, implemented on 1 july 2012, would be too good to be true...
year 2012 is like a year of visa upon visa, paperwork after paperwork....so sick of it already zzz.
OH the landlord came to the house and peeped into my room and commented that i have "many things" (implying: u have too many possessions and your room is super messy and as a temporary student u are really weird to own this much stuff and if i can have my say i would make you tidy up your room more as this is my house, bitch) sigh. if i had my own place......i would probably build a secret underground chamber to have my things because it seemed as if nobody really approves....
"look at this stuff!!!! isn't it neat!"
"wouldn't you think my collection's complete? wouldn't you think i'm the girl...the girl who has, everything?"
