Grade: C

This is an interesting response to the essay question. You commenced by writing about public relations as propaganda – which is an interesting comment and established in critical scholarship of public relations (see for example, the work of Jacquie L’Etang). However, you don’t really develop this argument or position, or integrate it with your subsequent discussion of BP’s response to the Gulf of Mexico oil spill.

I think the problem is that although this essay is well written, it does not sufficiently engage with the MCC307 unit readings which would allow it to develop a clear understanding of professionalism and ethical public relations practice, particularly in regard to the development of social media and how it may apply to PR. Your introduction does not relate strongly to the later discussion in the essay, and more critical engagement with MCC307 unit readings may have allowed you to better integrate these ideas. Nevertheless, you make some good points in this later discussion.

my Politics, Journalism and Society assignment of the opinion piece on reporting on the environment got back a 16/20.

:( im not satisfied.......especially when i see people doing better than me and i always thought i put in more effort and i could write better.
