asia conference

this year's asia conference was one packed with activities and high-profile preachers and huge number of foreign visitors.

it's really exciting, so much so that i dont really feel the "pains" of travelling to the far east from the west for the 4 out of 5 days the conference was stretched across.

the first night was phil pringle's praying for nations session. i found it funny that he wanted to pray for people from cambodia but none came up. LOL. and i enjoyed the comparison of indian people being prayed for versus the china people. i sat next to this senior pastor from myanmar and initially i looked down upon him, thinking he could not speak english, but lo! he spoke with good english and is very humble, enjoying the service. it makes me feel lowly in comparison, how old men would still be so passionate about church and being so good-humoured and all.

pictures time!!!

sunday !

sunday there was the mindblowing fantastic testimony from cai qin. im in more in love with her than before. she's so strong and passionate...with such great wit and stage presence. she's truly a diva in her own right. the church drama with the ip-man comedy scene and the ugly truth-esque story line, was great, but nothing in comparison to such a testimony from cai qin.

always fun to sit next to miss on-fire-for-christ jamie lai!

why do i feel that edward and i look like old foggies here.

am i the only one who thinks that way??!?

anyway best of all i really adored Reinhard Bonkke!!

the name "bong-ki!" sounds cute enough, but he's a great great Preacher... very funny and charismatic... he drags his words and probably have a slower word per minute, but every word was gold. every line he speaks is just what journalists would have a great time reporting coz they're all very quote-worthy.

i like how his testimony of being the accidental miracle-creating pastor came about and how his interpreter even fell under God's presence on stage. "my interpretor, became my interuppter!"

and i absolutely love his introductory video...it opened my eyes to envision how evangelistic rallies can become:

how magnificient is this!

he shared about how initially when there was this period when he was poor and struggling to pay rental, that the Holy Spirit suddenly came to him on the streets asking: "do you want ONE MILLION DOLLARS?" yet he answered: "no i do not want...i want ONE MILLION souls!" how pleasing his answer must be to God. even when he was so poor and destitute, his heart did not desire after riches and worldy wants.

so God did gave him the million souls, and more...having like 55 million registered decisions in Africa. and there were so many people at those rallies, that he thought he could see the curvature of earth.

must have had alot alot alot of porta-loos man.
