moss terrarium

today i had a green thumb day.

I was just surfing the usual sites and got interested to make a moss terrarium today! In fact i made 2.

The beautiful terrariums look like these:

Too bad my container's just the ugly jam kind and chuan bei pi ba gao one...cannot juxtapose to pretty bronze birds and perched on tree branches.

I'll add things to mine when it grows successfully. Hope there will be so much moss that i can trim it like a bonsai tree as seen in here!

Okkkkk... So this is mine so far:

I stole public sand, scrapped moss near the roads (cursed the soil for being so hard!!), got stared by motorists probably, made a din at my house corridor by smashin my mum's (hopefully "activated") charcoal... Phew. Wasn't a simple job but pretty exciting!! I just wish i can hurry the process!

Really love the idea of gardening in that cool way. "my name is janet and i grow MOSS" sounds interesting huh! Plus, it seems easy to maintain. Just have to ensure a little sunlight and enough moisture all the time.

Thanks to dawnie whose friend jason drove us to get sand from west coast park in the middle of the night!

It's so sad that i don't have sand at home la. Or tiny pebbles. One would think that the supermarket of my home would have everything sometimes.

Was fun playing the swinging tarzan thing at west coast! Would be more fun if we could climb the pyramid hahaha.

Cheese prata was good!

=) heart you dawn!
