happy finds

ok i am here to FLAUNT all the great stuff i got over the weekend. haha coz im materialistic~

on saturday i got yet another picture with a celebrity!! :D

the facebook comments thought shaun's just a cardboard figure since it's too good to be true but noooo! its really him! why would any cardboard want to wear a cap and dress like that. HA. debbie, next time we must make our celebrities make funny faces ok!

and then i read newspapers on friday and learnt that there was this "really free free market" where they put things out for free, ie you can get tarot card readings, massages, old unwanted stuff for free. so, i went there early and then was too embarrassed to see the things! like omg they started the whole thing later (it lasts from 3-9pm) and then the things were displayed on the floor, instead of on tables, so it's quite difficult to see the items unless i brought things to give away myself and can display them on the floor while taking a look at the plaid brown coat/ blue satin something there. ughhh! plus i was alone while most people there had company.

anyway the place was near little india and my goshhh i saw so many prostitutes and mind you, it was about bright daylight 330pm. theyre quite voluptous and they usually stand behind the gates of those staircases in the semi-detached houses, waiting around nonchalantly. i didnt manage to see any guys going up to approach them but was quite amazed by this experience and the thought that the quiet and warm neighbourhood could contain people engaging in illicit activities.

so as not to make my trip wasted, i walked another 200m or so to the sungei road thieves market! and freaking lots of people that day, even though it was soooo warm and everybody was stinky and sticky. there was even a lane that i could only move a few inches at a time -_- luckily i never dressed revealingly!

here's what i got!! :D

pretty chip&dale doll!

left is the doll that weiliang+kelvin shared for my bday, the one on the right is the latest to my collection and it costs only $3!! a quarter of what they paid for my birthday present and it's so cute! i think i was considering that doll when i get to choose which one i want. the uncle is so nice to sell it to me :) i looked like a very cui person that day coz my hair was messy and i was perspiring and i think my eyes sparkled or something so he charged me $3. i didnt bargain! i think too nicely of uncles who gives me good deals all the time i guess.

then i saw this HUGE green apple i could not keep my eyes off! it felt like it was destined to be mine you know?
yum yum i'd bite chu even if you were poisonous~

i asked the uncle how much is it! then he said in chinese count-you-6-dollars! then i checked my wallet and i remembered coz i spent on the doll, i dont have enough to buy the apple and felt incredibly dismayed for not haggling the price just now. then i told him, i only have $3 left.. *so pathetic right!* anyway he said ok give it to me at $3 AH-HA-HA-HA i was like omg...are you really.... anyway i emptied all that i have in my wallet, which amounts to $3.70odd and then left with a huge ass green apple (now it feels like i have new york city in my arms)

so polished and pretty

and then i continued to browse the market some more even though i do not have a single cent on me already. i looked as if i were carrying some urn containing a pet's ashes or something... people were staring at my apple since the only way i could carry it was hugging it close to my arms. well i cant blame them but it was quite funny!

it allows you to keep your things warmed!

yeah it's going to collect dust in my already-cluttered-room soon but at least for now, its the apple-container-of-my-eye and i am in love with it~

oh so sunday after the sungei market i went down to paya lebar, sat alone at maids-infested tanjong katong complex and sat there amongst them wiping the apple that i just washed. they probably think im weird but whatevers!!! they were like very noisy when i just sat there and then they steadily grew quiet but i didnt try to see what they were looking at.

bought some dresses at wholesale rates at city plaza. sighhh i wonder if i am ever going to sell them off. -__-
