watched KUNGFU PANDA with the burpeez! ah ha not really original introduction- nurul's blog also like this.
noticed a pattern now-- we're always having fun watching cartoon movies..! omgz. you know i used to avoid paying money to watch CARTOONS but with burpeez, it's kinda different. it's the company haha.
then before the movie there was the Sing To The Dawn movie trailer. wah ultimate fail. looks like those secondary school national education campaign animations. really cui compared to Panda.
OH and madgascar 2 coming! you like to, MOVE IT! guess we'll be watching that next!
and bless the poor girl's soul who went "shuddup lah" TWICE during the movie. jealous! if she's sitting nearer i would have dumped popcorn and imitate some of the kungfu moves on her. what a brat. go watch some goth movie lah.
this part reminds me of nicholas arghhh haha.
notice how when panda steps on the broken vase there's got the "HOO~!" which made us roar in laughter.
i like this scene, even more so when it was "repeated" when Po fought DaLang.
now those 2 names are like Teletubbies and DaChangJin (wu dalang wu dalang)
all in all, i think US animation films like this and MuLan are really funny, and for me, i like to enjoy the blend of the eastern and western. it's really good the way that these film-makers picked out those bits that humour the chinese kungfu films and made them so poignant. trying to tap into Beijing Olympics 2008 right, great marketing!
entertaining and intelligent film. :)
