HELLO! as all of you faithful readers know, i am back! ask me how is china, and i would say: 'she is fine, thank you'. HAHA. cold joke. ok. actually china is COLD. like freezing cold. my ankles, wrists have got scars, like those cracks u find in the ice cube. and i didnt get to see any snow! =( seems like china is experiencing a warm winter (is this a oxymoron?). and there can only be snow when the temperature is minus 20 degrees celsius. for your infomation, the temperature is average minus 6 degrees celcius while i was there.

there's a saying in china that maozedong says 'go china see great wall is good man' . the great wall is actually quite majestic, it being the only man-made object one can see from outer space and one of the world wonders and all. my family and i didnt manage to climb to the next tower; we stopped halfway, breathless and tired. the steps were sooo steep. imagine soldiers running up and down these steps! some pictures!

and the tour guide brought us to the pearl shop where we learnt about pearls. like diamonds that are judged by the 4 Cs, the pearls are judged by the colour, shape, whether it's saltwater or freshwater. if i remember correctly, black and gold, round, freshwater pearls are the most expensive of its kind.

this is my sister! she likes taking pictures of her reflections and hiding the face behind the handphone-camera. does she look like me?! haha. we're quite the opposites at times. i can open a whole new topic about my sister. she's really something, i tell you.

and then we're brought to the Friendship Store. quite a ineresting name huh? haha!

me punching my sister in front of the friendship store.

the two guys on the left are same age as me and from RJC. they left quite an impression on me and the whole group. they were the youngest, unchaperoned people and quite friendly. the one on the far left had the tour bus driver as his 'best friend' and my parents quite like him. hur hur! and you know what parents are like when they find a guy they like. -rolls eyeballs-

know what, it was only on the last day that they realized i was the older sister and my sister was the younger one. wah lao eh! i seriously wanted to knock their heads. SO insulted. my sister who behaves like a spoilt brat! how can they think that she is the older one! i just hope it was largely the looks and not the maturity of actions that cause them to think that way. sniff.

and then it was LuGou bridge. i think thats the name, not sure. it's this bridge the emperor built for his mother, Cixi empress dowager as he wanted her to have shelter from sun and rain as she strolls along her favourite river. it's got different paintings on the ceiling pillar and the bridge is like super long. quite sweet of him lah. but then if you're the emperor, you can just do about anything.

my mum and i. one thing i inherit from her: the unabashful open admiration of guys. look how happy she is to pose with the uniform-clad men. haha!

my mum bought this huang zhu gege hairband and made me pose for the cameras! the whole tour group was watching on and so embarrassin lah! what to do, make her happy. if i cant built a bridge then i pose for her loh. at that moment as she fussed over me and my hair, i felt like i was transported to the age she longed for me to stay permanently as-- that cute little girl who obeys mummy.

and there's TianAnMen Square. the spot where thousands of satellites from all over the world are watching for any news of men burning themselves to death and protests, etc. the place where reporters report live from with maozedong's face in the background.

and the famous Tong Ren Tang! the famous medical hall that managed to restore a man deemed vegetable and given up by the western doctors and glorifying the powers of chinese medicine.

after the consultations with the doctors, these masseurs would come in and give you a rather violent massage that i accepted thinking that its-free-why-not. wah lao eh! turns out MUST pay tip. so for that painful massage, i have to pay SGD $4. bleah! how can make people think dont have to pay then force to pay want..

any guy who wants to be hugged like i hug my peking duck?? haha!

a new twist to the Top 10 Hottest Empresses of the Century.

my family! we're standing in the middle of the lake!! frozen of course.

my mum who never fails to make people laugh. click on the picture for a larger view! haha. the spot she stands on--stand there and shout and echoes can be heard (supposedly)

LAST PHOTO! this one has no relevance whatsoever to beijing but i love how i turned out in this one. i have angelina jolie's lips! the photo was meant to capture the warm air i blow out of my mouth that turns white in the cold air.
