oooo it's leap year! shall jump rather incongruously from one topic to another!
here is a picture of me in suds room wearing the polka dotted shorts from BKK that i so love:
picture taken by suds- he thinks the world of my legs! awww
we heard a joke on the radio the other day. the deejay said guys ought to get married to their girlfriends on the leap year day so that they could only celebrate their wedding anniversary only once every 4 years. suds thought that he should propose on that day too, but i smacked him and said that that will be worse coz now he has to celebrate on both february 28th and march 1st.
then later someone posted this article on the facebook feed: http://www.timeanddate.com/date/leap-day-february-29.html
it says in it
"Traditionally, women take the ring into their own hands and propose on Leap Day" and
"A man was expected to pay a penalty, such as a gown or money, if he refused a marriage proposal from a woman on Leap Day" and
"In many European countries....tradition dictates that any man who refuses a woman's proposal on February 29 has to buy her 12 pairs of gloves."
We watched part of Puss in Boots today. There was a scene about young Humpty Dumpty and his drawing of the beanstalk and the goose with the open-up doors that showed for a split second but which I thought was utterly adorable.
In the later part of the evening.....(warned you that this entry is going to be quite leap frog style today).....while suds was showering, i decided to draw him a card that is from that scene- the beanstalk and the castle with both of us in it.
had to use the iphone to take closer pictures of the thing in detail. he doesnt seem to really appreciate art form, only the thought behind it. men. *roll eyeballs*
i should have drawn with a less thick marker, and added more water to make the outsides of the clouds blue-r. buu buu.

pictured is spiky haired suds flexing his biceps and me oohing and aahing over his muscles.
told suds that i almost drew me on one knee proposing with a diamond ring. and imagine the surprise he would get when he opened the castle doors. LOL. he was acting-mocking sad that i really didnt draw that. chey! how would my life go down if everyone knew i proposed to my boyfriend right?!?!?
everyday now i have been finding things that i am amazed by-- how he downloads many disney movies for us to watch, like which macho guy does that?! and how i get so motivated to cook lunches and dinners for him recently. i am also shocked at how fierce he can get (he scolded my housemate gigi and kinda made her cry) and yet impressed by how strict he is with people's attitudes around him.
i find him funny that he doesnt like me making a mess in his room, yet doesnt mind if my small-cup bras carelessly hanging around the door knobs and everywhere in plain sight. he always tries to make me happy even though i come up with the most ridiculous suggestions such as getting a cruise from perth to singapore which is super pricey in my honest opinion, and researches a little on it for my sake.
:) ok i shall end off now.......happy leap year everyone.
