Found the whole report on Australian Prime Minister's 50th birthday really humorous and interesting. Nowhere can you find such reporting in Singapore, ever! Background of story was that she's not really liked now because she promised no carbon tax if she get elected into office, but she turned on her word and introduced really far-fetched revolutionary plans such as the Malaysian Solution (sending all the refugees to Malaysia instead of processing them in Australia).
It appears that there is so much resentment against her.... I feel kinda bad for her. And very much because right now I have to do a PR campaign management case to make her Carbon Tax plan sit well with the public and make her slightly more popular with the other office members.
It's really tough considering that she does not have quite the good rep already.
Anyway today I woke up late (it's school break yo!) and Suds taught tuition. We went for lunch at Bullcreek Hawker with Sam Tan and later went to play frisbee and kick some soccer with Jo, Dione, Julian. Did not expect them to join us, but felt really glad that they did.... It was more fun playing in a larger group and all of us realised how unfit we were. It's still really nice though, even though I had a huge grass itch on my neck and Jo got her nose whacked and I got sticky and smelly and really thirsty.....
For dinner I tried making the salty vegetable and duck soup but I FORGOT ABOUT THE TOMATO and it was not the fresh salty vegetable, so I got a little upset *frowns* Sometimes wished I had learnt more about cooking from my mum.
Lucky that Suds got excited about using our eco cups to get bubble tea so we drove quite the distance....
TA-DA!
My aunt called and skyped me regarding home matters and situation. So it seems that the third maid is now unhappy to work coz of my parents fighting too much, mostly over matters concerning her and she left on Friday for good. It's such a pity really; now my mum is stressed over how to juggle taking care of Chloe and the household while holding on to her job, with my sister going to work too. I miss them so much...wished I could fly back for 2 weeks just to be able to send Chloe to school and just hope that my family quarrel less. We are not unfortunate compared to most families, on the contrary we are not handicapped, we have a beautiful family and we look really good in photographs, we have enough money to go to school, we can work but, somehow we just love to fight. I wished my parents would be less miserable and be able to see how blessed they are, and to give and take that little bit for the bigger picture.
Wondering if I should take a break till my next assignment due in November to fly home...
