perth royal show

tis not a carnival...

woke up that morning really excited, marit's friend stayed over. i was @-@ who's the guy/girl in whose room!!

went out with carlos to get his groceries and buy tickets from IGA. we went to THREE IGA supermarkets but all the adult tickets were sold out, much to our disbelief and disappointment.

took public transport, but not without driving to murdoch train station first. i scratched someone's car when i opened the door to get out, and ohhhhh man felt really bad. the rest of the people were like, no problem, and swiftly drove the car to another parking lot.

ate at Taka in the city. i love my unagi rice oooh yum yum with the bean sprout shoots.

then we proceeded to the showgrounds station!!!!

waiting for train! was like 17mins wait... zzz

the free tickets courtesy of arthur who has been working in the royal show!!

and yay! the "showgrounds" train station is a special station that opens whenever there is the royal show.

greeted by huge crowds on the last day of the show....

showbags! they're these goodie bags you purchase which contains really interesting stuff....

for example there's...
gossip girl show bag! with a gossip girl gym bag, gossip girl laptop case, hairband, organizer file, tumbler. it cost $25. :[

wwf show bag

i bought this vest thing i saw at ChasingBlack some time ago and later at harbourtown. IM SO FREAKING ELATED i wait out and got it there for $10. :D the housemates were kinda amazed at my purchase after a short pondering time.

went to the police station booth/tent:

ohnoez

and me as a lady cop:
everybody werent keen on taking photos on it except me zzz. i thought motorbike-enthusiast carlos would have jumped at the chance but he was only interested in the specifications of the police bike zzz zzz.

walked along and saw the retro and cute milk bar!

saw the cake exhibition...
om nom nom cakes too beautiful to be eaten

huge one

SUPER DUPER BEAUTIFUL
never thought cakes could be made to look like that

the nib on the cream thing is so fine. the lady is writing happy birthday on that cookie

and miniature wedding cakes:
bawww so pretty and lovely

little shop tents lined up....

saw the agriculture west australia's exhibition...

first time touching wheat

they arranged the seeds to make out that bee, design how amazing right

the exhibitor gave carlos and i some West Australia's stickers...

the exhibitor was joking with little kids, "you're an apple, and she's an orange. together you both make a pear (pair)" how adorable!

kangeroo kiddie rides:

many game stalls which are pretty expensive....

posing with chickens that i so wished i could steal one to put at home...

played with the little goat that had a nice time sniffing me out

I AM SO SAD THAT I COULDN'T SEE THE ALPACAS AND BABY PIGS!!!!

ok, saw the sheep-herding process and show.

sheepdog managed to make the sheeps climb up the ramp. carlos is such a cutie!

Haunted House ride....

sat on the giant drop-ish thing... $25 for 3 persons, otherwise $10 for 1 i think.

on the way.... soon soon

i forgot if this was going up or coming down

weeeeee~!!!

saw a mini wrestling/kickboxing show which was quite dumb, but the boxers look like they really hit each other hard.

way before i attended the last day of the show, i was looking through the pictures of the royal show posted on my friends' facebook and i really wanted to get the spiderman.

the spiderman's really freaking huge and would make a good poster, or a nice decoration on the ceiling where i could kiss it upside down as and whenever i wish......

but i couldn't get one!!! SOBS. even till i stayed till the end of the show and the people are packing up and stuff, the odds to win it seem too large and i spent too much money on the rides to bother trying already.

plus i dont know if i could carry it back to singapore without having to purchase another passenger seat for him.

carlos was quite sweet to pay $10 to try winning one for me :) i got a purple bear out of it though. named it Princess Carlos. bahaha.

saw a brass band play and the "can't take my eyes off you" song's soooo catchy i wanted to dance to it, but it's so sad that my housemates are those that do not like attention to themselves oh well.

saw the very typical element of circus/funfairs/carnivals- the mirrors!

although you have to admit that macbook's photobooth take out the fun in the funny mirrors these days...

there was the posters tent! i really liked the warhol's art of marilyn monroe one. it would have looked really nice in the boring plain o' walls of my rented room but for $12 D:

bumper cars!! or "bom bom zhe" as the cantonese people call it

the beautiful flying swings:
costs $9 for a ride....

went with the housemates all to take on this really horrifying captain's ship kinda ride but it's in a circle. omg i think im getting too old coz it got really scary when it was going to reach the climax. i was already like begging in my heart for the ride to stop coz i had no idea that it was going to be sooo scary. screamed my way through. later when we all got down we saw the attendants watering down one of the seats. someone had puked LOL.

and we wandered around and later stood near this ride watching the dare-devils and the "hot-topic" kinda rowdy girls dance to the techno music that was playing, and finally decided to go for the ride! $12 for 1, $20 for 2. carlos really likes his thriller rides! arthur wanted to go on but i guess it must be something about a guys' thing. 2 guys going on a ride together must not have been much fun. i only agreed to coz michael could take photos for us. (not coz theres carlos and i wanted to act like damsel in distress oops) ...im such a cam-whore.

all on aboard!

i totally used my hands and block carlos' view WAahaha. ooops. so bad. this is more fun than the one with the housemates and not as scary....

arthur got us FREE on this ride coz he knows the guys!!! :D
i was kinda sad coz i had to sit alone... theres many seats on the ride that are closed and not open for people. sooooo lonely. it was on this ride that the fireworks came out and i was looking at them upside-down. kinda magical if i had been upright, like on the giant drop.

fireworks!!!

bought a huge red hat! it doesnt stand on its own well

arthur brought us to this laser light mirror room, or infinity illusion room FREE!

we look so colourful~! :D

the stuff we won/ received today! HAHA

ate at maccas in the city before heading back. marit looked pissed and really tired. i felt bad, especially since i was the one who begged her to go with me otherwise i would have been alone with the 3 boys.

fun!
