Festival of the Lakes n service

woke up at freaking early 745am to get to Festival of the Lakes!

its my campaign management module's client's event, turned out to be pretty fun even though that stupid project member of mine made me cry (again) on the car ride there! unfortunately i was working most of the time and couldn't cam-whore much.

took a bird watch walk with a very passionate bird enthusiast, graham armstrong. she couldn't understand why anybody would dislike birds, and would take trips to Madagascar to look at birds and animals. felt very ashamed talking to her about how i like to go piney lakes to feed ducks with bread. to which she said, "as an environmentalist i would say that it is not a good idea..."

i face-painted and everyone says i'm good at it! i feel so good about myself after that. :D

learnt that the key to doing a good face-painting would be:

1. have lots of moisturising cream lathered onto the face before painting

2. paint hardens easily but also softens with moisture after some time of stirring around. reminds me of poster colour

3. once painted on and left, the paint will dry rather quickly, hence you can't redo or go back to it

4. make sure there's enough hair pins etc.

went for service which talked about relaxation... pastor was like implying that people ought to seek relax by having time with God. i guess there was some message loss in translation when relax can be read as the form of shopping/surfing internet kinda relax, and many of us students by that standard, have been rather fully relaxed. then later pastor said something odd about women who can relax make the good wives and mothers, and later relating it back to having sex or something to that effect, which was really awkward.

anyway we went to Gfun!! haha finally made them go to Gfun. the pastor took wing's parents out to a fancy restaurant for dinner.

made benedict and julian and suds and maggie go with me to maccas to get ice cream. had my first mcflurry in perth, which costed $3.45. it was lovely to the max. the guys are really the nicest people in zion praise harvest.

alphosus wanted to take a picture with the signboard so much but the rest told him "dont zhuo luan la" which is a common phase on most peoples' mouth so to speak. alphosus is like this almost zone leader kinda figure and is getting married next year, and while he says "only janet supports me most!" (coz i helped take a picture), i think that he's one of the nicest guys who compliments and feeds me ego food a lot. :) i shall always remember how he would say that i am the most quirky girl he knows. :) :)

and the fresh flowers seem to point misleadingly to a certain part LOL.
