i want a skirt with a huge pompous tail, like this. a modern touch to the old victorian gown style, a little anime-ish though, but still pretty and fancy.

although toga is ubiquitous from high-end brands and runway trends featured in magazines to blogshops selling generic cotton ones with black lace, it's nevertheless a very eye-catchy style. however it's quite tricky to make a GOOD toga. a much spandexy-stretchy one may cause the side without the strap to droop...an awfully made strap would cause it to look like the seamstress forgot to add the other strap... a toga would be a lazy toga if its a "one-side strap dress".
in my definitions, a good toga would be one that shows off its assymetry perfectly. this means that the contrast must be obvious enough, or has beautiful details to make it stand out as a toga. the neckline should have a gentle slope up to the shoulders.
maybe i'll post more togas next time!
