went to the christian lacroix (pronounced as la-kua, debbie says so) exhibition at the national museum!
we're damm lame i think haha. so we wore nicely, heels and all, tried to match our outfits. she's wearing pink flowery dress, but i dont have any pink dresses so i got my blue flowery one. *bimbo talk* anyway!!!! we switched heels coz hers were loose!
the museum was alittle dark. flash photography werent allowed so it was difficult taking photos and little chance to camwhore inside.
i didnt know what to expect of christian lacroix actually! so i found out....
that christian lacroix has very avart-garde style. he's a costumiere, meaning he is into creating exaggerated flamboyant costumes for the stage. his style is as quoted in one of the display panels as "weird"-- which is so because his choices of fabrics don't seem to really go together looking like scrap cloth bits, but it all turned out unexpectantly attractive.
christian lacroix paid alot of attention to the details!!! i am amazed at what people could do with fabrics in the past:
aside from the costumes, i was ogling at his sketches!
pretty amazing coming from a man isnt it! his characters always have such flowy limbs. the colours he used and the colours employed are beautiful.
the museum people included some props to camwhore or rest, how thoughtful!!!

thanks for the company today dearest debbie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)some of christian lacroix's recent designs for 2009:
