i slipped and fell down rather hard on the way to work this morning. :( very nasty blue-black bruise + scratches on my left knee and minor scratches on my right feet.
i was late for work and the floor was rather slippery due to the rain in the morning. i saw the traffic light flashing 14secs and i thought i could make a break for it.. so, i ran like i knew i could make it. then, just ONLY 3 METRES away from the traffic light and i was at optimum speed, i went whOOOoooosssh and BHAM!!!! on the floor, sprawled across the bricked floor tiles like a ragged doll. i picked myself up and was shaking- my tie was wet and my beige pants rolled at my knees were stained, and my knees hurt. but most of all, i was super embarrassed. i felt humiliated coz the tens of working people were behing me, and the crowd at the traffic junctions and those people on the vehicles saw me slipped badly. 2 ladies actually came up to me to offer help and tissues while some were behind them, waiting to help should i say i need help to be carried off somewhere. i waved them off saying it's ok, then when they walked away i started to cry. cried like shit. i looked so nice and had my creative in my ears blasting nice music, then in a matter of seconds, became a mess. i overtook this lady who was annoyed that i sortof kicked at her shoes while doing so, and then when i fell, she couldnt be bothered and was probably rejoicing when she walked past me seeing me in a heap of mess.
damm horrible. now my knees feel weird coz i cant twist them in a certain angle without hurting. but it's ok. it's the humiliation part that really got to me. too bad i dont have anybody who would come to find me to cheer me up like the girl-friend of weisheng who had a bad dream that lasted 2 whole hours. jealous much*
bahh at least when i got to work the guys and christina was super caring so i kinda bawled abit then im ok already. :)
and THEN!!! naseem's 21st birthday party! was pretty fun going to indian restaurant Indrani Cuisines and the food was nice. i really love good indian food.
naseem looked so blessed and her birthday was quite sweet. her friends are like gold lah. like, her best friend was the emcee, another did up the powerpoint, another made a very good movie, another 2 twin girl-pals pam&pris played the guitar and sang (!), her brother wrote her a poem that got all of us aww-ing, and then they had the say-something-to-naseem thing and everything was so good. :) naseem truly deserves all those loving. i wonder how my 21st will turn out. dont think my mum and sister would say something touching to me or have people who would embarrass themselves at the expense of making bday girl happy to turn out..
