poor little thing chloe is sick. i think my mom spread her flu/cough to her.

poor thing! ke lian de!

she coughs every now and then, like the hack hack cough from a small little baby with small little lungs, which i found quite hard to bear.

then she sneezes very easily, with little stuff coming out from her nostrils.

the way she breathes, it takes so much effort. and i hate it when i can hear people breathe. something so effortless shouldnt be heard!

she cries really heart-wrenchingly. and really loud too! it was to the point of screaming. :( i think she feels really restless and it makes me restless as well too.

ke lian de hai zi! (poor little child)

i wish she knows how to blow her nose as loud as i do. i wish she knows how to spit out the phlegm in her throat.

today, i was her mattress for about 4 hours. 3 hours in a row, and another 1hour. my wrists fell like breaking already. but poor thing, like my aunt said, she needs to sleep upright so that she can breathe easier.

found this online! save it for days when any future babies are sick:

Make sure you are washing your hands frequently, but other than that, there's not much you can do. Just make sure he/she is clean, you are clean and that other people disinfect before picking him/her up. As awful as this sounds, getting sick will help boost his/her immune system and better prepare him/her for entering school. Studies have shown that kids who attend daycare, etc. are more likely to get sick the first 6-12 mos they attend daycare than those who stay home with mom. The same study then said that these children missed less school due to illness than those who stayed at home and didn't get sick. Getting sick now will get baby ready for school--missing school for illnesses can be very detrimental to his/her academic progress.

Wear a face mask when tending the baby. You can get them at the drug store or grocery store and wash your hands extremely well before handling anything of the baby's or what the baby has contact with.Wipe down everything that you touch with Lysol to combat bacteria, colds are viruses and they promote viral bacteria

Cover your baby well. Don't approach it to sick people. I mean if you let he/her get held by someone who's sick. That's a good way to get her sick for sure. Babies are sensitive and prone to pickup someone else's sickness. Especially the viral kind.

Just cover your baby well. Little baby cap, winter clothes, blankey, boots. Don't leave your baby with a wet diaper, be attentive regarding that.

Have others wash their hands. You as well, before holding the baby.

If you see that your baby starts sniffling or starts having any type of cold symptom take your baby to the doctor quickly.

Keep contact to a minimum and wash your hands before touching the baby, bottle or anything else.

However all babies will get colds at some point and they need to, to strengthen their immune systems. If you think that the baby might have got ur cold, ensure you keep an eye on his/her temp and keep them dosed up on medicine.

You can also get stuff to rub on the babies chest and plug in devices for babys room that emmit nice smells that will help clear babys nose!

OK i gotta be cleaning the hamster's cage and vacuuming the house LATER!

oh when i got home from meeting gary weiliang and jiawen, the maid was asleep like a log. so says my mum, the maid is used to sleeping at 9/10pm. and my sister said she lied about knowing how to speak english coz she obviously cant. argh so much for first impressions.

sucks sharing a room with the maid. now im typing this in the living room instead of in the comforts of my own bedroom! and i had to change my clothes in the toilet and hunt for my underwear in the dark. sucks sucks sucks!!
