i banked my first cheque today!

u dont know how nervous and grown-up i felt doing that. would the cheque go somewhere else? i wrote my name, account number, (two) phone numbers behind the cheque in my neatest handwriting and quickly stuff it into the box. and now, i'm counting down to another 3 days till i see some growth in the balance.
would i be able to replace the $1k of my aunt's with that of mine soon? i hope so! but as soon as my mum knows that i received cheques (she's the one opening letter boxes), she starts to reap what she has sown.
her: "when you want to give me money ah!"
me (acts possessed): ?!?!
her: "dont have ah? then cut allowance loh!"
me : "OK OK!!! i give! i give!"
wah lao eh! how now HOW NOW! even before i really receive my money, it's ALL SPENT ALREADY!
